Today I review some sports-themed pool table lighting. I’ll be talking about Nolan MLB lights, Gipper NFL lights, and NBA lights. I’ll go over pricing, specs, selections, and overall review.

I’ll begin with the Nolan MLB pool table light:

Retail priced as high as $698.00, but I found prices as low as $599.99. This is a nicely crafted antique textured stained glass pool table light, with silk-screened team logos and brass channels. This product is 100% American-made, and you can choose from 29 MLB teams.

Its overall dimensions are 40L x 16H inches, weighs about 37 pounds, and it comes with 3 feet of chain and 10 feet of cord. You’ll need 3 100-waat medium-base bulbs, which aren’t included.

From what we’ve seen, these lights are most appropriate for 8ft tables, which is a bit of a bummer since I personally enjoy playing on a tournament-standard 9ft table. They are classy and well-made, and I’m sure if I was a baseball fan, I’d be hard-pressed not to choose this style of light.

Next up, the Gipper NFL pool light:

Retail prices run about $599.99 – $698.00 like the MLB lights. Choose from all 32 NFL teams. These pool table lights are also antique textured stained glass with screen-printed logos and hand-assembled brass channels.

These shades, also, are only designed for pool tables no longer than 8 feet. But, they’re a great addition to a game room. I’m a big fan of football, and could definitely see a Patriots pool table light floating over my pool table!

Just like the MLB pool table lighting, these NFL lights are made in America, about 37lbs, 40Wx16H, come with 10ft of cord and 3ft of chain, and require three 60-watt bulbs.

Now finally, the NBA pool table light:

These lights are pricing out about $499.99 – $575.00. So they’re a smidge cheaper than the first two lights in this review. Everything else is about the same. Made with brass channels and %100 American-made, these billiard lights look just as classy as the other lights. They run 40L x 16H, come with 4.5ft of chain, and 10ft of cord, and require the standard three 60-watt bulbs.

Ok so there you have it. I found plenty of pros and very few cons to talk about here. The lamps themselves are beautiful, altough like I said before, they’ve limited themselves by manufacturing lights that are only long enough to properly light the short 8ft tables. The only other thing I didn’t like too much was the electric cord that runs through the chain. That cord is bright yellow and sticks out vibrantly. It’s a bit of an eye-sore, but an easy fix: you could probably cover the cord up with black electrical tape to make it less noticeable through the chains.

Assembly and Installation Instructions

All three of these products are shipped partially assembled. Assembly is easy and requires only common household tools. Furniture will be shipped with all necessary fasteners. Assembly is a matter of minutes with easy to follow instructions. Carefully read the instructions and acquaint yourself with the wood parts, bolts and screw sizes before starting assembly of your furniture.

Considering their design similarities, I give all of these pool table lighting fixtures 3.75 stars. Although they look great, I’m thinking they’re a bit on the pricey side, and I’m not sure I’d want to drop that much cash on them. Of course, my pockets are a bit thin these days…
