Poem Heartbreak
Work and sweat and toil cast aside
As fancies and reality collide
To clash and mingle into something new,
A taste of fiction somehow ringing true.
My poor mind fair swoons with love’s incenses,
And a stuttered pitter-pat commences
So deep within my breast. Your sweet perfume!
A heady breath of passions which consume
My thoughts, my dreams, my world. I am eclipsed
By the tenderness I’ve sipped from your soft lips.
Since we’ve begun the Sun’s resumed her dance.
Across my skies birds chirrup of romance.
All colors live and sing before my eyes,
And feathered breezes beg me fantasize
of wonderous things to come.
Should someone pinch me now and I awake,
My captured heart may whimper, weep, then break.
