“Well, Stinky Pete, I think it’s time you learned the true meaning of playtime.”
Stinky Pete wasn’t the only one who learned about playtime during the Toy Story movies, and with the release of Toy Story 3 in 2010, we get to see our friends again. From Stinky Pete to Mr. Potato Head, from Woody the cowboy to Buzz and his Buzz Lightyear jetpack, the most loved toys in the world are back.
Buzz and Woody were not the only stars in the movie, but do seem to have achieved a cult hero type of status. There are t-shirts and backpacks with Woody and Buzz images on them available for all age groups. For children, there are action figures, plush figures and figurines. And who hasn’t opened their door on Halloween to a Buzz Lightyear?
Now, in addition to the other Toy Story 3 toys and accessories, there is the Jet Pack Buzz Lightyear. This jet pack is a great way to complete a costume, but it’s also a lot of fun for everyday play!
The Buzz Lightyear jetpack comes with well-positioned straps which go around the child. The straps keep the jet pack in place so the child doesn’t have to worry about “crashing”. There are large wings with the jet pack which are fun to wear, but since they are pretty much “one size fits all” as far as wingspan is concerned, children who are older than four years old would be best suited to them.
Other accessories available are the Buzz Lightyear gloves, which come in neon green with white.
Small kids love the inflatable wings, even though, in the past there has been a bit of a problem keeping the wings inflated. It appears that the gasket sometimes comes loose. but this can be quickly fixed with tape. Compared to the huge amount of fun that young children seem to get from these toys, this is a small problem.
Buzz’s jetpack is very inexpensive, costing only about 10 dollars. If you would like to order one—or two—for Christmas, you need to do so as soon as possible. Some online stores have already sold out of the Buzz Lightyear jet packs.
“Should we be hysterical?” Maybe! Who wants a BUZZ LIGHTYEAR JETPACK!?
